In John 11, Jesus learns about Lazarus' sickness (like he didn't know about it already - He was God).

v6 So when he heard that Lazarus was sick, he stayed where he was two more days, 7 and then he said to his disciples, “Let us go back to Judea.”
8 “But Rabbi,” they said, “a short while ago the Jews there tried to stone you, and yet you are going back?”
9 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light. 10 It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”

It's interesting that "When the disciples reminded Jesus of the danger, He reminded them of His mission and the need for urgency." (from Swindoll's NT Insights, p.199)

I feel like the Dallas campus is risky - maybe not as much risk as Jesus felt, but still, it's a risky move.  It's uncharted territory for NorthStar - we've never done this before.  But, following Jesus' example, any time we feel the weight of the risk, we need to remind ourselves of our mission.  Dallas needs NorthStar!  Our Paulding community needs a church of people that care for them and want to meet their needs, both physical and spiritual!

If you feel unsure, just remind yourself of the mission we're on!

Status Update

     Here's where we stand:
1)  We held our first vision meeting on Sunday, November 6th.  It was attended by a group of people eager to pour into our community of Dallas!
2) We are in the process of spreading the word about Dallas to our church family an our friends and neighbors.
3) We will be giving toward the new campus throughout the month of December!
